Q - “The
job sounds a little complicated, will I receive training?”
A - Yes, your training will be a combination of formal
classroom training and working with a mentor in the call centre.
Q - “What will my mentor do for me?”
A - Your mentor will be assigned to you in the early stages of your
employment at Greenock and will be able to guide, assist and encourage
you as you develop news skills and work in different departments in
the centre.
Q - “There are many different departments Greenock,
can I choose which one I work in?”
A - You will be advised which department you will be working in when
you begin your training at Greenock. The rapid growth and changes
in the business at Greenock means that it’s difficult to give
everybody a choice of which department to join.
Q - “Will I have the opportunity to work in different
departments after my training?”
A - Yes, as your skills and experience grow, you will be considered
for opportunities as they occur in various departments.
Q - “How long can I stay in Greenock?”
A - We hope that you will choose to stay with us and build your career
with Manpower and IBM in Greenock. Your contract of employment does
not have an end date; all that we ask is that you stay with us for
a minimum of 18 months.
Q - “I have heard that renting an apartment is very
expensive in the UK, will I be able to afford to live on my salary?”
A - You have probably heard of very high rents in London, prices there
are crazy! Here in Greenock you will find that your salary will give
you enough to pay the rent, buy clothes, and have money left over
for socialising and enjoying Scotland at the weekends. Many people
choose to share a house, having a private bedroom whilst sharing the
kitchen and living rooms with friends, this is a great way to keep
costs down and make new friends.
